Eddie Murphy’s Raw was the movie to really launch his career. This movie was basically a filmed version of his standup comedy acts. This standup is basically a historical perspective of Eddie’s life, however, it is told from a funny standpoint. He describes his childhood, relationships, jobs and current life. There were many characters’ voices reenacted including Eddie Murphy’s mother, father, brother, sister as well as many others. All the characters were played by Eddie. In addition, Murphy plays himself throughout his life. This also takes place in many hilarious situations including a barbeque.
