"Elephant" is a 2003 independent film about a typical day in the life of a few high school students. The lives, emotions, and back story of each student are explored, and the day seems normal, but two students are planning an event that would completely jar the others from the routines they had so carefully cultivated. The movie explores the bonding that happens between fellow humans in the midst of tragedy, crossing the boundaries over what they once thought was real and now were not quite so sure. The film also discusses human nature in a very poignant and powerful way.
