The movie is all about a couple, Fiona and Grant, who were living together for more than 40 years. Fate has come in the form Alzheimer's disease, which makes one forget some of the most vital parts of life, and strikes their relationship. After Fiona became a victim of this brain-related disease, she, one fine day, forgets the place where she lives and she finds herself lost in the streets. Now, Grant decides to treat Fiona's disorder and admits her in a hospital, where the rule levied says visitors can't be allowed to meet the patients for the first 30 days, which Grant finds very hard. At the end of the 30 day period, when Grant comes to the hospital to meet Fiona, truth makes him a living dead. He finds that Fiona has completed forgotten him and that she has become very close to another man, Aubrey, a man who is a mute and can't move without a wheelchair. The gap between Fiona and Grant widens and Grant takes decides to sacrifice his love for his beloved wife and move away from her so that Fiona could live happily with Aubrey.
