In this courtroom thriller based on the novel of the same name by John Grisham the question is who controls the jury? When Jacob Woods (an uncredited Dylan McDermott cameo) is gunned down at his office by a crazed ex-coworker his wife becomes involved in a case against the gun manufacturers for damages. The prosecuting attorney, Wendell Rohr (Dustin Hoffman), doesn't believe in jury selection services as offered by young Lawrence Green (Jeremy Piven). However the defense believes in it strongly and has retained Rankin Fitch (Gene Hackman), who is highly regarded as the best jury selection man. What the defense and the prosecution don't know is that there is someone else interested in controlling the outcome of the trial. Nicholas Easter (John Cusack) and Marlee (Rachel Weisz) are working together to control the trial and the jury and put the verdict up for sale to the highest bidder. When Easter is selected for the jury the race to the verdict between the defense, the prosecution, and Nicholas and Marlee, begins.

|
At an MIT graduate student recruitment fair James Clayton (Colin Farrell) impresses a recruiter from Dell with his program SPARTACUS, which is a program designed to enslave all computers networked to it. However, Clayton seems more interested in finding his long lost father than getting a job. Later that night he is approached by Walter Burke (Al Pacino) who attempts to recruit him to the CIA, initially he is not interested, but Burke sparks his interest by mentioning his father. Signing up to join the CIA he is put through the rigors of selection and then training. While training he meets and falls in love with Layla (Bridget Moynahan) another recruit. When Burke tells the group that only one of them will be the NOC or non official cover operative, they all strive to achieve this post. After apparently failing a training exercise Clayton is booted from the program only to discover from Burke the next morning that he has been chosen as the NOC. His job as NOC is given to him directly by Burke, and he quickly becomes entangled in a web of espionage intrigue, from which he may not be able to escape.

Red Dragon is an installment of the "Hannibal" series of movies. In this film, Will Graham is called out of retirement to help capture a serial killer, Francis Dolarhyde, who is pejoratively called the Tooth Fairy. Dolarhyde has killed several family members with which he had prior voyeuristic stalking. He used home movies processed at the video recording company of his employment. Initially consulting Hannibal Lecter to get some help with the case, Graham soon discovers that he and his family through Lecter's manipulation, are next to be murdered. It's a race against time to save Dolarhyde's blind girlfriend, Reba, and then to rush back home to stop the killer.

But, in spite of all of Mary's attempts to get close to Stevens, he uses his responsibilities as head butler to shield him from becoming emotionally attached. However, when the end of World War Two reveals that the Lord of Darlington Hall was holding international conferences there to try to form ties between England and Nazi Germany, Stevens awakens to his misguided loyalty and takes a trip to see Mary after she has left her job. He hopes that it won't be too late to have a relationship with her.
